She is also one of the longest tenured women that has served in the White House, having served three Presidents in personnel and management capacities, as well as serving First Lady Laura Bush as her chief of staff. She is a frequent speaker, print source, contributor and commentator, and she is the co-author of the nation’s first textbook on the transformational legacies of the wives of America’s Presidents called U.S. First Ladies: Making History and Leaving Legacies.
